The servants, also known as "Zanni" or "Zani", are one of the most important groups of characters in commedia dell'arte. In fact, in the commedia, "tutti i personaggi del popolo sono degli "Zanni" (Pierangelo Summa, La maschera è libertà).  You can find, below, the name of some of these characters.

Servants are comical characters, often cunning and resourceful, who serve their masters. They are at the heart of many intrigues and burlesque situations.
